Raw sugar is handled by belt to a holding bin located just outside the factory. The bin is equipped with hydraulically operated dump gates for loading trucks. A sugar warehouse, 120' wide x 509' long, was installed in 1992 to replace one destroyed by Hurricane Andrew. A new 150' x 450' warehouse was installed in 2001. A sugar warehouse (150' x 400') located in Breaux Bridge also is used.
The factory's molasses storage capacity includes one 140,000-gal. tank, a 390,000-gal. tank, a 1,000,000-gal. tank, and a 2,000,000-gal. tank which was installed in 1997.
