Crystalizers
A large receiver is installed directly above the existing crystallizers to receive "C" strikes. (Capacity of this receiver was increased to 6,205 cu. ft. for the 2002 crop.) The massecuite then flows to two banks of seven Dyer-Blanchard type crystallizers, each of 1,000 cu. ft. capacity. The crystallizers are arranged for continuous flow. The massecuite is pumped from the crystallizer room to the centrifugal mixer by Nadler pumps.
